 The STEM-Pole

The STEM-Pole is a research and development collaborative program which gathers the academic research teams involved in stem cells and cell therapy and their use for human healthcare. The  STEM-Pole will mainly study the potential of Stem cells use in biotherapy, within the scope of the regenerative medicine. They will also work on the cells modeling to help the so called "cells pharmaceutical field" which needs those biological tools as clean and pathological targets in order to find new cures and to test their toxicity in a predictive way. Those operations will be worked-out through three complementary axis: "understand" the mechanism governing the property of stem cells and there therapeutic potential, "produce" the agents for cellular therapy and models within the required conditions, "apply" the stem cells to there wanted-therapeutic use in regenerative medicine and in the massive screening of compounds.

The STEM-Pole main goal is to federate the Paris region research teams in order to give them the best assets of a competitiveness cluster, helping them to compete with foreign leading research institutes in those highly competitive research fields.

Our fields of expertise :

  • Generation of new cells lines
  • Cell differentiation and proliferation molecular mechanisms
  • Cell therapy
  • Cell modeling of healthy and pathological tissues
