Since october 2007, the Regional Council of Région Ile-de-France considered the "Stem Cells and Cell Therapy" field as Areas of Major Interest or "Domaine d'Intérêt Majeur" (DIM).
The DIM represents the Stem Cell and Cell Therapy Network for the greater Paris Region (Région Ile-de-France).
The STEM-Pole manages the DIM "Stem Cells and Cell Therapy" and provides financial and organisational support to regional academic research teams:
- PhD fellowships
- Post-doctoral fellowships
- Scientific event organisation
- Purchase of cutting edge laboratory equipment
- Set up infrastructure for common platform
